FOS Day 5 + 1 #fos4l

Dear friends,

Thank you for an exciting, creative and intense week of sharing, connecting thinking and learning together. We hope the journey has been worthwhile for you and you have now some fresh ideas you would consider implementing in your practice. Please share some of these with us if this is the case. Many of you have used the 5 days, the 5Cs and the scenarios, to play and experiment with new approaches. Some of you have started blogging and for others it was their first or early experience of Twitter and tweet chats. What you have done this week individually and collectively Is truly wonderful and has put a big smile on our faces.

This is not the end of the journey, it doesn’t have to be. Hopefully you will see value in continuing on this path of playful exploration and discovery, enable the connections you made here to grow further and make informed and creative changes to your practice that have the potential to create perhaps more stimulating learning experiences and have more fun teaching and facilitating learning.

Feel free to continue working on the activities if this is useful for you. Collect your FOS points and claim your completion badge until the end of September. You can collect up to 20 FOS points, including Neil’s BONUS activities. If you are just after the FOS participation badge you can do this through completing a simple form here.

We would like to thank all our dedicated facilitators and collaborators for their valuable help this week and in the preparation for this. None of this would have been possible without them.

Wishing you all a great weekend and enjoy the rest of the summer. Do share where you’ve been doing and keep in touch, ok?

ps. We are interested in offering FOS as a cross-institutional collaboration over 5 weeks with at least two groups of academics studying towards their teaching qualification or towards a standalone CPD module. Please get in touch if this is something you would consider co-organising.
